Calex is a physical and interactive calendar that helps organise your workflow by providing easy scheduling and appointment management. The idea is to reinvent Rolodex open 500 to become an digital interactive calendar. The user experience is designed to be simple and intuitive, keeping the user focused on daily tasks and appointments without having to switch back to the main calendar on their mobile or computer to see what's next. Calex is designed to help users achieve better results by creating a more organised work environment. This project was during my first semester in collaboration with Samuele Brenna to design Calex for Digitally designed objects for fast prototyping course.
Interaction modality
This physical object is designed with two rotary systems and two screens. The upper screen displays every single day and the details of the different appointments for that day. The lower screen provides an overview of the entire week. The rotary system on the left side allows for vertical scrolling to see the content of a single day, while the rotary system on the right side enables the user to switch between dates horizontally.

Prototype
Creating functional prototype is an essential part of my design process through digitally designed objects for fast prototyping course at the university. I leverage the power of software tools like Fusion Autodesk to design 3D objects, other tools like laser cut machine and Prusa 3D printers to produce high-quality prototypes.
To bring the prototype to life, we also incorporate Arduino board to connect the Bluetooth to the mobile phones. This allows me to run Figma files on a mobile screen, providing a realistic user experience and demonstrating how the final product will function.
